1. Alvin Kamara · RB, Saints
UP 8 SPOTS TO 166.2 · BUYThe move is meaningful, but the market still prices limited risk.
Kamara rose for a second consecutive week while ESPN’s current fantasy depth chart places him behind Travis Etienne in New Orleans. That sounds negative, yet a back with receiving history and a path to weekly passing-down work does not need to lead carries to beat a price outside the top 150.
Why it moved: Drafters are recognizing a usable role at a low cost. Stop price: Buy after pick 140; become cautious once the price enters Round 11.
2. Jonathon Brooks · RB, Panthers
UP 2.6 SPOTS · HOLDHealth creates two paths to value, but the discount is already narrowing.
Brooks entered camp without limitations and could force a committee with Chuba Hubbard. ESPN ranks Brooks No. 106, only seven spots behind Hubbard. At that point the market is no longer treating him like a forgotten backup.
Why it moved: Positive health and a credible competition. Stop price: Take Brooks near pick 105; fade if he climbs inside the top 85 without clear first-team dominance.
3. Malik Nabers · WR, Giants
UP 1.7 SPOTS · HOLDAvoiding reserve/PUP improved the range of outcomes; it did not erase the recovery risk.
Nabers’ elite target profile supports a rebound if he is ready early, while ESPN currently ranks him No. 32 overall. That creates upside, but the price still requires meaningful early-season availability and a stable connection with Jaxson Dart.
Why it moved: A better-than-feared return timeline. Stop price: Accept the late third round; do not chase him into Round 2 without full practice participation.
4. Jaydon Blue · RB, Cowboys
UP 26 SPOTS TO 181 · BUYA large move that still ends at an inexpensive price.
Blue has gained ground behind Javonte Williams, and ESPN now lists him as Dallas’ RB2. Pass-protection improvement remains necessary, but a back attached to a productive offense with a direct contingency role is attractive this late.
Why it moved: Positive offseason reports and a clearer RB2 path. Stop price: Buy after pick 160; stop once the market prices a committee before one exists.
5. MarShawn Lloyd · RB, Packers
UP 24 SPOTS TO 180 · HOLDThe contingent role is real; the durability assumption is not settled.
Lloyd’s path to Green Bay’s No. 2 job has improved, but ESPN’s full-PPR board remains much lower at No. 242. The gap reflects an important distinction: earning the backup job does not automatically create standalone weekly value.
Why it moved: Health optimism and a cleaner depth chart. Stop price: Prefer him after pick 190; do not keep chasing a role that still depends on Josh Jacobs leaving the lineup.
6. Fernando Mendoza · QB, Raiders
DOWN 2.8 SPOTS · FADEThe fall reflects delayed opportunity, not a sudden loss of talent.
Kirk Cousins took the first-team work during the offseason, and Mendoza may be introduced gradually. ESPN ranks Mendoza No. 220 and Cousins No. 302, but redraft value depends on when the rookie starts—not where the franchise hopes he ends up.
Why it moved: A less certain Week 1 role. Draft call: Leave him for superflex or deep benches until first-team usage changes.
7. Cooper Kupp · WR, Seahawks
DOWN 3.6 SPOTS TO 207.5 · HOLDA falling price can create value, but role competition caps the recovery.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba remains Seattle’s target leader, with Rashid Shaheed, Tory Horton and Kupp competing behind him. ESPN’s ranking of No. 228 is close enough to the new market that neither side is offering a major edge.
Why it moved: Age and target competition. Stop price: Use only a final-round selection when the roster needs receiver depth or a Seattle stack.
Three rules for reacting to market movement
- Measure the ending price. A 25-pick rise can still leave a player cheap.
- Separate role evidence from enthusiasm. First-team reps matter more than praise without usage.
- Use platform-specific prices. A player can be a buy on one site and a fade on another.
